Job Title: Chief Technology Officer

Deswik is seeking a seasoned technology leader to drive innovation and manage complex technology strategies at a global level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and execution of Deswik's global technology and product strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving innovation, particularly in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring product architecture, cloud platforms, and development infrastructure are scalable, secure, and reliable.
  • Lead and manage a large, geographically dispersed technical team, providing guidance, mentorship, and ensuring efficient execution of the company's technology vision.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and engage with external stakeholders, including customers and partners, to ensure technology solutions meet business and market needs.
  • Conduct product-focused financial modelling to drive decisions on costs, resource allocation, and profitability, ensuring adherence to company forecasts.
  • Drive continuous innovation and research, staying abreast of emerging technologies and trends to support Deswik's growth ambitions and long-term product vision.
Requirements:
  • 20+ years of experience in software development and the mining sector, with leadership roles such as CTO or similar positions.
  • Deep expertise in software development, cloud platforms, AI technologies, and scalable infrastructure.
  • Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a large, geographically dispersed technical team.
  • Sharp commercial acumen and strategic thinking abilities, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
