Position Summary:

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Deswik is a key executive role responsible for leading the development and execution of the company's global technology and product strategy. The CTO will oversee the entire product lifecycle, ensuring that Deswik's software products align with business goals, while managing scalability, security, and reliability across product architecture, cloud platforms, and development infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

The role involves driving innovation through research and development, incorporating emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver products that meet customer needs. A significant aspect of the role is also leading product managers and ensuring the effective execution of Deswik's product portfolio strategy.

Leadership and Team Management:

The CTO plays a crucial role in managing a geographically dispersed team, guiding them to ensure productivity and alignment with Deswik's goals. The position also involves product-focused financial modelling to inform strategic decisions around cost, resource allocation, and profitability. The CTO will be instrumental in engaging with external stakeholders, including customers and partners, to foster strong relationships and ensure technology solutions drive business growth, with a focus on achieving annual revenue and profit targets.

Requirements:

The ideal executive for this pivotal role will need to be a seasoned technology leader with a strong track record of success in driving innovation and managing complex technology strategies at a global level. You will need to bring deep expertise in both software development and the mining sector, with at least 20 years of experience, including leadership roles such as CTO or similar positions.
