Lead Contaminated Land Specialist

This is an end-to-end contaminated land role where you'll manage projects from investigation through to remediation and validation, with the support of a stable team and solid systems.

You will be responsible for delivering project outcomes that meet client expectations while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in contaminated land management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of contaminated land projects, including investigations, risk assessments, and remediation strategies.
  • Develop and implement effective project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to understand project requirements and deliver results that meet their needs.
  • Conduct site inspections, sampling, and monitoring programs to assess contaminant levels and inform remediation decisions.
  • Oversee junior staff and provide guidance on contaminated land management best practices.

Requirements:

  • 6–8 years of experience in contaminated land consulting or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of contaminated land management principles, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
