Job Summary

We seek a highly skilled Senior Tester to join our team. This role involves designing and executing comprehensive test plans, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience with Power BI testing, SQL scripting, Tosca automation tools, and cloud-based data warehouses like Snowflake.

They should be able to write and optimize complex SQL queries, perform data validation, ETL testing, and end-to-end testing of BI solutions, as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.

Responsibilities
  • Design and execute test plans and test cases for Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries to validate data accuracy and transformations across systems.
  • Perform data validation, ETL testing, and end-to-end testing of BI solutions.
  • Use Tosca or similar automation tools to automate regression and functional testing.
  • Collaborate with BI developers, data engineers, and business analysts to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Conduct performance testing and identify bottlenecks in BI reports and data pipelines.
  • Document test results, defects, and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to CI/CD processes.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in SQL for data validation and test scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI including DAX, data modeling, and report testing.
  • Experience with Tosca or other test automation tools.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud-based data warehouses.
  • Understanding of ETL processes, data pipelines, and BI architecture.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and test integration in DevOps pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ISTQB or equivalent testing certification.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
