Job Opportunity: Front of House Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Manager to lead our team at a busy cafe.

This role offers the opportunity to oversee daily operations, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

Key responsibilities include managing and supervising FOH staff, ensuring efficient customer service, working closely with owners, and collaborating with the kitchen team.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for implementing and enforcing cafe policies and procedures, maintaining cleanliness and organisation, and monitoring daily operations.

Requirements for this role include proven experience as a Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry, strong leadership and interpersonal skills, excellent communication and customer service skills, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

This new venture is exciting for us as it's allowing us to expand our team. As such, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Manager to join our team.

Job Description
  • Manage and supervise the FOH team, including FOH staff and baristas, whilst facilitating communication with the BOH team regarding stock needs.
  • Ensure efficient and friendly customer service, resolving any customer issues or complaints promptly.
  • Work closely with the owners to bring exciting, innovative ideas to the cafe and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with the owners to grow and develop our team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Monitor daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and cash handling.
  • Train new staff members on cafe policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless communication and timely food delivery.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Implement and enforce cafe policies and procedures to maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of coffee preparation and barista skills.
