Job Title:  Reserve Maintenance Leader


Are you passionate about delivering exceptional sports turf maintenance? Do you have a proven track record of leading teams to achieve outstanding results?

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and skilled individual to lead our Reserve Maintenance Team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for proactively planning and implementing maintenance programs, ensuring that all Latrobe City Sporting Reserves meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactive planning of maintenance and renovation programs, including procurement of materials and contractors.
  • Leading the preparation of playing surfaces for local, regional and elite sporting events.
  • Providing high-level customer service and ensuring timely effective resolution of requests.
  • Promoting a positive culture of occupational health and safety, ensuring compliance with relevant requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:


To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  •   • Diploma or other formal qualifications in Horticulture (Turf), Sports Turf Management or a related area.
  •   • Detailed knowledge of playing surface requirements for various sports.
  •   • Experience in leading teams delivering sports turf or open space maintenance.
  •   • Ability to provide turf management training.

  •   • Hold a current Chemical Spraying license.
