Full Time Banquet Chef

This is a fantastic opportunity to work as a banquet chef in a state-of-the-art event centre. The role reports directly to the head banquet chef.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual who can effectively manage a cooking section, assist in creating popular menu ideas and inspire the team to perform at their best.

  • Manage kitchen operations efficiently and effectively in line with company standards.
  • Assist in developing new menu concepts that will drive sales and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Lead by example and promote a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure high-quality food production and presentation at all times.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment in good working order.
  • Achieve workplace health and safety compliance.

Requirements:

  • High level of personal morale and professional appearance.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to foster a cooperative working environment.
  • Food handling certificate.
  • Availability for a 7-day rotating roster.
  • Previous experience in large functions.
  • Tertiary qualification in commercial cookery or equivalent experience.

Successful applicants will be subject to police background checks and AML/CTF verification.
