We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Senior Aged Care Assistant to join our team at Arcare.

As a Senior Aged Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care services, working collaboratively with our nursing and support teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist with activities such as showering, dressing, toileting, and grooming, maintaining the dignity and privacy of each resident.
  • Mobility Support: Help residents with walking, using mobility aids, or transferring between different positions including from a bed to a wheelchair.
  • Monitoring Health: Observe and report any changes in the resident's health or behavior.
  • Meal Assistance: Support residents with their dietary requirements, ensuring they receive the food they need and assisting them in the process of eating.
  • Maintaining Records: Keep accurate records of care provided, observations, and any changes in the resident's condition on eCase.
  • Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals: Work in collaboration with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for our residents.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Cert III Individual Support (Ageing) or Equivalent: You must possess a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent qualification.
  • Adaptable, Passionate, and Willingness to Learn: You must be adaptable, passionate about aged care, and willing to learn and develop your skills.
  • Collaborative and Skilled at Teamwork: You must be able to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly and Effective Communication Abilities: You must possess friendly and effective communication abilities, enabling you to build strong relationships with residents, colleagues, and family members.
