Job Title: Medical Science Liaison - Neurology

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our team in Victoria/Tas/SA. As an MSL, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining relationships with scientific experts and key opinion leaders in the neurology field.

Job Summary:

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will be responsible for providing scientific expertise and support to Lilly's medical and scientific teams. This will involve engaging in continuous learning to maintain the highest level of technical expertise within neurology, and effectively communicating complex scientific information to various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and communicate deep scientific knowledge in neurology, engaging in continuous learning to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.
  • Excel at customer engagement, providing deep and advanced disease state and product information to scientific experts, and connecting them with other Lilly resources or internal business partners as appropriate.
  • Strategic vision and leadership, synthesizing complex data and communicating meaningful clinical insights and unanswered customer questions to Lilly medical and cross-functional teams.
  • Territory ownership, demonstrating strategic analysis, planning, and prioritization to maximize efficiency, and executing the role in a compliant manner.
Requirements:
  • Previous MSL experience or field-based experience building relationships with scientific experts and key opinion leaders is highly desired.
  • Advanced degree in health sciences (PharmD, MD, PhD in a medically related field) is required, with 2-3 years of relevant clinical or therapeutic area experience.
  • Intellectual curiosity about the field of science/medicine for which they are responsible, and learning agility to comprehend and effectively communicate large amounts of complex scientific content.
  • Self-directed and able to work alone in the field, effectively managing multiple priorities and projects, with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced presentation and computer skills, with expertise in literature identification, and effective strategic and critical thinking.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, and ability to use field-based electronic or other communication tools for all aspects of the role.
