Swimming Instructor Opportunity

This role is ideal for a skilled and enthusiastic swimming educator who can deliver high-quality lessons that emphasize safety, skill development, and confidence in the water.

The successful candidate will work with students of various age groups, helping to enhance their swimming abilities and promote a lifelong love for this vital skill.

Approximately 2.5-10 hours per week are required, which may vary throughout the year. Working hours could be between 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, depending on the program.

As a casual swimming instructor, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional swimming education that promotes student growth and achievement.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Delivering high-quality swimming lessons that cater to students' diverse needs and abilities.
  • Creating a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages students to develop their swimming skills.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, organization, and time management skills, as well as a current AustSwim or Swim Australia certification. A strong commitment to student-centered learning and a passion for teaching swimming are essential for success in this role.

Please note that you will be expected to teach in the water.

Additional requirements include:

  • Current AustSwim or Swim Australia certification.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • A current Working With Children Check (WWCC), First Aid certificate, and CPR certificate.
  • Anaphylaxis Awareness training should be completed or willingness to complete it is desired.

The selected candidate must have a 'right to work' in Australia and meet the WWCC and swimming qualifications requirements.
