Personal Care Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking experienced and passionate Personal Care Assistants to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. As part of our dedicated team, you will create a safe, home-like environment for our residents and be responsible for providing resident personal care.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing a high standard of care that supports residents' independence by meeting daily living and personal requirements within the care plan.
  • Assisting with personal hygiene, showering, dressing, toileting, assisting with meal services, mobility, and social support.
  • Preparing the resident dining rooms for meal service and cleaning away at the end of a meal service.
  • Promptly responding to resident call buttons for assistance.
  • Promptly reporting any changes in resident health status to the Registered Nurse on duty.
  • Enhancing the resident experience through building great relationships with residents and their family members and responding quickly to feedback.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Personal Care Assistant in a Residential Aged Care home.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences, and spiritual beliefs of residents.
  • Excellent time-management and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to change.
  • Willingness to obtain NDIS clearance.
