Job Description

As a Mail and Parcel Sorter, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences during our busiest period.

Our seasonal team members commence operations across October and November, sorting parcels in preparation for delivery. Your key responsibilities will include operating load-shifting equipment, working with sophisticated processing systems, and loading/unloading mail from various containers.

  • Sorting parcels manually or with machine assistance using scanners
  • Providing a crucial service to the local community during peak hours
  • Working collaboratively with operations staff to ensure seamless mail transportation into the facility

About You:

  • Comfortable in physically demanding roles with the ability to lift up to 16kgs of mail and parcels regularly
  • Excellent memory and attention to detail
  • Safety-conscious with the ability to operate equipment like conveyors and loading/lifting devices safely
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments with compliance checks as part of the routine
  • Willing to handle parcels containing meat and/or alcohol products
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Good physical stamina and ability to work at a quick pace
  • Ability to lift up to 16kgs of mail and parcels regularly
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of software applications used in the mailroom
