Senior Claims Advisor

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage specialized financial lines claims.
  • Deliver high-quality technical guidance and support to clients, from the initial notification to the insurer through to final resolution, ensuring the client's interests are safeguarded.
  • Offer expert advice to clients and brokers regarding policy coverage and interpretation, advocating for clients in instances of insurer indemnity denials.
  • Lead the negotiation process for settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to a portfolio of clients, showcasing value and driving outcomes.
  • Oversee external providers and collaborate with panel solicitors, loss adjusters, and investigators as necessary.
  • Address inquiries from brokers and clients promptly.
  • Conduct meetings and liaise with clients, insurers, claimants, and external providers.
  • Manage moderate to complex claims in alignment with the Company's procedures and Client Service Agreements.
  • Prepare regular claims reports, including analysis of claims trends and summaries for clients and brokers.
  • Maintain thoroughly documented electronic files in accordance with Company standards, ensuring a system-prompted diary follow-up on each claim.
  • Identify opportunities for claims referrals and collaborate with our Advocacy team on claims issues.

Desired Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in handling financial lines claims.
  • Strong verbal communication and advanced written communication skills.
  • Ability to cultivate and enhance relationships with clients, insurers, and their representatives.
  • Proficient negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Demonstrated practical commercial acumen and business insight.
  • Attention to detail and capability in claims analysis.
  • A collaborative work approach.
  • Results-oriented mindset.
