About the Role

Catholic Healthcare is a leading not-for-profit provider of residential aged care, home and community services, and retirement living across NSW and SE QLD. We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all financial functions, reporting, and analysing on efficient, compliant, and risk-adverse financial activities. The role involves overseeing daily operational financial activities, monitoring and optimising cash flow, and ensuring controls, guidelines, and processes are in place to identify, control, and manage financial risks to the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing end-to-end delivery of financial services, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all financial functions.
  • Reporting and analysing on efficient, compliant, and risk-adverse financial activities.
  • Managing the daily operational financial activities of the Finance function to ensure ongoing financial viability.
  • Monitoring and optimising cash flow to ensure liquidity for daily operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensuring controls, guidelines, and processes are put in place to identify, control, and manage financial risks to the organisation.

Requirements

  • A Degree in Accounting or Finance and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualified.
  • Previous experience working within the aged care/Healthcare industry highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated significant experience in a similar sized organisation.
  • Previous experience in managing end-to-end financial operations.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing, analysing, and translating and documenting business requirements.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, diverse stakeholders, and executive leaders.
  • Demonstrated people-effective people management experience.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits including 7 Additional days off per year, NFP Salary Packaging, and Fitness Passport.
