Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to fill the role of Library Technician. This position involves providing exceptional service to patrons, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.

About the Position
  • Operate the library's circulation system, checking out materials, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with the delivery of library programs and services, including children's storytime and technology workshops.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Library Technician Diploma or Associate Diploma, as recognized by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
  • Previous library experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated strong commitment to customer-focused service.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant computer skills and experience with library software.
  • Current class C driver's licence.
  • Working with Children Check number.
