Job Description

This role is an excellent opportunity for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Community Cricket Officer. As a Community Cricket Officer, you will be responsible for promoting and delivering school-based cricket programs across regional areas in Western Australia.

The successful candidate will have a strong passion for cricket and a proven track record of working with schools and community groups to promote sports development programs. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

You will work closely with schools and community groups to develop programs that engage students and increase participation in cricket. This may involve coordinating and delivering cricket programs and events, as well as building relationships with schools and community groups to identify opportunities for growth and development.

As a Community Cricket Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of our school-based cricket programs, which aim to provide sustainable participation outcomes and enhance the cricket experience for students.

To achieve this, you will need to possess excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate and deliver high-quality programs on time and within budget.

Additionally, you will be required to have a strong knowledge of cricket and its development pathways, preferably through coaching or umpiring experience. This will enable you to design and deliver effective cricket programs that meet the needs of our target audience.

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about cricket and committed to helping us achieve our vision of increasing participation and improving facilities, equipment and services for our members and the wider community.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience working with schools or community groups, preferably in a sports development role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of cricket and its development pathways, preferably through coaching or umpiring experience.
