Warehouse Delivery Assistant Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and physically fit Warehouse/Delivery Assistant to join our team on a casual basis. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for heavy lifting and moving of mattresses and bedroom furniture, as well as assembling items in customers' homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Heavy lifting and moving of mattresses and bedroom furniture
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Moving items around the warehouse and showroom as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Necessary fitness and ability to perform safe manual handling tasks with awkward and heavy loads
  • Enjoy manual labor and have a can-do attitude
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, customer service, and communication skills
  • A positive attitude, presentable, and professional, and enjoy helping customers
  • Must be an enthusiastic team player and contribute to a small team environment
Preferred Qualifications

Previous warehouse experience, preferably in the bedding or furniture industry, is highly desirable.
