About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Shutdown Superintendent to join our team in Mackay, Queensland. As a Shutdown Superintendent, you will be responsible for managing shutdown teams on specific projects, ensuring that works are progressing safely and according to deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with clients and management teams to build strong relationships
  • Ensure safety is being adhered to the highest standard
  • Pre-shut scoping of allocated works to ensure adequate time and resources are available for safe and successful execution
  • Adhere to contractual and company KPIs
  • Ensure the team has all the required tools and information to complete the works to the highest standard
  • Post-shut close out, including project reports, timesheets and assisting with invoicing
Requirements
  • Mechanical trade qualification
  • At least 5 years' experience in a mining or shutdown environment
  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance and/or commissioning of bulk material handling equipment
  • Experience in liaising with clients and meeting deadlines
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory position in a mining or shutdown environment
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
