Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of horticultural production and coordinate staff activities.
  • Ensure the preparation of growing media, trays, pots, and containers.
  • Supervise propagation, planting, and pruning operations.
  • Manage pesticide and weedicide applications for crops.
  • Implement and monitor irrigation, fertigation, and fumigation activities.
  • Maintain records of soil, hydroponics, plant treatments, and yields.
  • Coordinate transport and logistics for delivery of sales stock.
  • Operate and maintain horticultural machinery and equipment.
  • Train and mentor staff in best horticultural practices and safety procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven experience in horticultural production with a focus on crop supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of propagation techniques, pest management, and irrigation systems.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Attention to detail and effective record-keeping abilities.
  • Proficient in operating and maintaining horticultural machinery.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in a dynamic environment.
