Production Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our team at Alex Fraser, a leading manufacturer of recycled construction materials and asphalt production company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily production operations in the recycling facility, ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement production strategies to meet company goals and KPIs.
  • Manage and mentor production staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development.
  • Monitor production processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including logistics, quality assurance, and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, optimizing resource allocation and minimizing costs.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Analyse production data and report on performance metrics to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management, preferably in the recycling or waste management industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental compliance.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
