About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Communications Manager to join our team at TasWater. As a key member of our Communications and Engagement team, you will play a critical role in driving trust, satisfaction, and engagement among employees, customers, stakeholders, and the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement proactive communications strategies and activity plans for Media Relations, Internal Communications, and Crisis Management.
  • Lead both internal and external communications efforts to improve and ensure positive satisfaction and engagement with the organisation.
  • Embed a high-performance culture, driving continuous improvement initiatives and increasing staff engagement.
  • Collaborate effectively with various levels of stakeholders, including employees, customers, and the community.
Requirements
  • Proven senior communications experience in large, complex, and fast-paced environments.
  • Politically astute, with exceptional stakeholder management skills and an ability to engage and collaborate effectively.
  • Strong strategic mindset, with the ability to work through complexity and develop comprehensive communications strategies.
  • Inspirational leadership style, with a proven ability to foster an engaged and high-performing team.
