Family Violence Practitioner

This is a specialist role in addressing family violence. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality services to women and children experiencing family violence.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver outreach case management services to women and children.
- Facilitate a multi-disciplinary team approach for women and young people impacted by family violence.
- Undertake comprehensive risk assessment and mitigation, needs assessment, safety planning, and case planning with women and children.
- Coordinate referrals for support and liaise with specialist services as required.
- Support victim survivors in different types of accommodation settings.
- Work in partnership with families to develop and regularly review individual case and safety plans.
- Provide advocacy on the client's behalf to link in with other relevant supports.
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work or a related discipline is essential.
- Demonstrated capacity to provide outreach case management including comprehensive risk and needs assessments.
- Experience working in the family violence sector.
- Ability to work with complex needs and behaviours.
- Knowledge of theoretical frameworks to practice.
