We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Expert to join our Regulatory Legal team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing expert legal advice and guidance on complex matters.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecution and the Inspector to provide specialist legal advice and support on regulatory activities.
- Providing expert legal advice and guidance on evidence gathering, issuing of statutory notices, and investigation procedures.
- Assisting with the preparation of briefs of evidence for prosecutions.
- Working closely with Senior Legal Advisers in performing their roles and providing client-focused specialist legal and strategic advice and support.
- Admission as a legal practitioner of the High Court or the Supreme Court of an Australian State or Territory.
- Current Practising Certificate or ability to obtain one within three months.
- Character clearance (Australian Criminal History Check).
- Employee Health Declaration.
- Six months probationary period for new engagements.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
