Assistant Asset Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Asset Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting our team with the delivery of comprehensive property consultancy services.

The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent numerical, verbal, and written communication skills, and a professional attitude with exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain fixed asset registers.
  • Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Help prepare tax depreciation schedules.
  • Consult with clients on fixed asset practices and policies.
  • Develop and enhance client procedures and ensure industry best practices are applied.
  • Contribute to the preparation of client proposals and tenders.
  • Evaluate all tasks against MBM's Quality Assurance and Work Health and Safety standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
  • Preferably 6 months of experience in asset accounting or a related area.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent numerical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • A professional attitude with exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • A willingness to learn, adapt, and grow professionally.
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
