Water Specialist Role

Perth-based water management position available with our leading resources company. We are committed to building diverse and safe teams, and transitioning to a cleaner energy future.

Job Description:

As a Water Specialist, you will have exposure to water management and experience working with the WA approvals and licensing framework. You will clearly communicate water stewardship and approvals considerations for stakeholders, including management, mine planning, and environmental teams.

Key responsibilities include delivering approvals and licensing products, such as impact assessments, management plans, and annual reports, aligned to mine planning critical path and business risk. You will also support integration of water stewardship and approvals activity into business processes and systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Geoscience, Engineering, or Environmental Science.
  • Knowledge of WA regulatory framework to obtain and maintain environmental approvals and water licences.
  • Knowledge of mine water management associated with mine dewatering.
  • Understanding of hydrogeological conceptual models.
  • Skilled at engaging with stakeholders and building good relationships and effective networks across different teams.
