Role Overview
The Quantitative Strategies group manages approximately $28 billion in active, factor-based equity strategies for institutional and intermediary clients worldwide. Headquartered in Chicago, the group also has a presence in key global financial hubs.
Reporting to the Global Head of Quantitative Strategies, we are seeking an individual to lead our operations in the APAC region, overseeing business development, mentoring a dedicated team, and acting as the primary representative for client interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive the strategic and commercial agenda for the APAC Quantitative Strategies business, collaborating with key stakeholders. Represent the Quantitative team in APAC as part of the global leadership team, aligning commercial and research initiatives. Formulate and execute the strategic plan for the region. Lead and develop a team of client portfolio managers in APAC. Collaborate with local Product and Sustainability teams and global Research teams to innovate new strategies. Enhance the visibility and thought leadership of Quantitative Strategies in the APAC market. Work with the local Marketing team on communication strategies and development of marketing materials. Represent the Quantitative Strategies platform in client meetings, conferences, and webinars. Co-author research papers and articles of both global and local significance.Candidate Profile:
10+ years of relevant experience in quantitative investment. Proven ability to engage with sophisticated investors and foster long-term relationships. In-depth knowledge of the APAC institutional quantitative investment landscape, including asset owners and regulations. Strong presentation skills with the ability to convey complex quantitative concepts to diverse audiences. Excellent writing skills demonstrated through published articles and research papers. A solid understanding of local sustainability and ESG issues, with a focus on integration. Professional qualifications such as CFA, MBA, or PhD are advantageous.Working Environment:
