Job Title: Telecommunications Linesworker

Pilbara Networks are recruiting skilled professionals in Perth, WA.

This is a challenging role that requires the candidate to carry out rigging works on telecommunications structures and sites. The successful candidate will work at heights and remote areas of Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, testing and maintenance of telecommunications equipment;
  • Assessing installation requirements and planning installations;
  • Testing installed equipment and fault-finding;
  • Following industry specifications, standards and HSE guidelines;
  • Reading construction drawings to complete works to a high-quality standard;
  • Adjusting, replacing and repairing faulty items, and testing equipment using electronic instruments;
  • Ensuring all paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely manner;
  • Submitting relevant documentation on completion of works.

Requirements:

  • A commitment to safe working practices and procedures;
  • Knowledge about rigging in the construction and mobile industries;
  • Previous experience rigging in the telecommunications industry and relevant qualifications;
  • Proficiency in identifying faults in telecommunications equipment using various instruments;
  • Strong knowledge in the use and selection of equipment for various tasks;
  • Mining Experience.

To be considered, you need:

  • 1 year industry experience;
  • Physical strength and agility;
  • Positive attitude;
  • Certificate in Rigging (Intermediate or Advanced);
  • Tower / Rope Rescue Certificate;
  • High-Risk Work Licence;
  • Competency based qualification with Elevated Work Platforms;
  • First Aid Certificate;
  • RadHaz Certificate;
  • Construction White card;
  • Drivers Licence.
