The role of a Senior Systems Engineer is to design and build complex electronic systems, ensuring they meet high availability standards. This involves collaborating with a high-calibre team, leveraging great benefits and opportunities for professional development.
This position will see you joining an experienced delivery team working on the development, deployment, and support of maritime electronic warfare systems. The system consists of complex hardware and software solutions, which require rigorous integration and verification processes.
Responsibilities- Support critical modernisation projects that protect national security.
- Design and implement rugged hardware solutions for deployment on naval vessels.
- Leverage best practices to ensure seamless system operation.
As a senior systems engineer, you will play a key role in defining, developing, integrating, and verifying complex electronic systems. Your expertise will be applied across multiple engineering disciplines, including electrical, electronic, and mechanical.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrable experience in design definition, design development, integration, and verification of complex electronic systems.
- High-level computer literacy coupled with strong Microsoft Office application skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to apply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
- Previous exposure to Defence Systems Engineering processes and tools desirable.
- Model-based systems engineering experience, including the use of modelling tools, is highly desirable.
