Job Title: Electronics Systems Specialist

About the Role

This Electronics Systems Specialist position will support a technical team responsible for testing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading electronic equipment primarily associated with combat management systems projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to the Sustainment team and associated maintenance activities.
  • Undertake preventative and corrective maintenance activities on a wide range of electronic equipment.
  • Fault find and repair electronic equipment, from deeper maintenance through to component level.
  • Produce technical reports and testing procedures, review and maintain technical documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively and provide advice to stakeholders for the successful support and maintainability of equipment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Certificate III in Electronics and Communications Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Industry experience in a similar engineering environment, supporting medium subsystems or group of smaller subsystems and/or equipment.
  • Adequate technical experience in one or more of the following domains: C4I, Combat Management Systems, Command Support Systems.
Desirable Skills

The following skills would be advantageous in this role:

  • Working knowledge of Asset Management and Planning Systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in project and/or complex task management.
