About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Acute Medical Unit with cardiac telemetry and Medical Assessment Unit (MAU). The successful candidate will work within a supportive, dynamic team of dedicated nurses and multidisciplinary team, providing quality, evidence-based care. Our ward is an innovative and dynamic department dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, patient-centred care to patients in the Acute Medical Unit and MAU
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Develop and implement individualised care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Contribute to the development and implementation of unit policies and procedures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience in an acute hospital setting
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and customer-focused
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team
- Passion for delivering quality patient-centred care
