This full-time, fixed-term position offers an exciting chance to explore cutting-edge research in parasite biology, leveraging your expertise in molecular cloning techniques, gene-editing, proteomics, protein expression systems, or structural biology.
As an Academic Researcher, you will:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative research projects, shaping the direction of our molecular biology program.
- Engage in high-quality teaching and learning experiences, inspiring undergraduate students in microbiology, parasitology, and biotechnology.
- Supervise Honours, Masters, and PhD students, nurturing the next generation of researchers and academics.
You may also have the opportunity to participate in international collaborations, including teaching opportunities in China as part of our Haide College program.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A PhD in Biological/Biomedical Sciences with a focus on molecular and/or protein biology.
- Demonstrated research excellence and knowledge in molecular and/or protein biology, with a strong publication record in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
We offer a competitive salary package, estimated to be around $98,574 - $105,611 per annum (Level A) or $111,031 - $131,335 per annum (Level B), plus 17% superannuation employer contribution. Our benefits include:
