Job Description

The Educator role is a key position within our multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the development and implementation of education and training programs.

This senior member of the team will apply their lived experience lens to education, supervision, and strategic initiatives, championing the value of lived experience across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and deliver LLE-specific education and training for staff across the organisation.
  • Lead and mentor LLE staff through discipline-specific supervision.
  • Build and nurture stakeholder relationships across internal and external networks.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Advocate for the expansion and integrity of Family Carer and AOD LLE roles.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates must possess lived experience as a family carer and/or personal experience of substance use and recovery, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a Family Carer or AOD perspective role within the sector.

Strong facilitation, communication, and professional writing skills are essential, along with experience in training development, supervision, and stakeholder engagement.

A certificate in Intentional Peer Support Trainer and a driver's license are mandatory, while a Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or Training & Assessment is desirable.
