About the Role

The State Government of Victoria, Australia is seeking an experienced Administration Officer to join the Aboriginal Justice Group. This role will provide administrative support to the Research and Assessment Team, ensuring the efficient delivery of the Reparations Package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Research and Assessment Team, including confidential and sensitive tasks.
  • Support the Research and Assessment Team with written communication and business support tasks related to research and assessment activities.
  • Coordinate and administer logistics, coordination, and administration for the Independent Assessment Panel.
  • Manage and maintain efficient records management systems for the Research and Assessment Team using HRM Content Manager.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal community, society, and culture, including contemporary issues facing Stolen Generations and Aboriginal Victorians.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with the Victorian Aboriginal community.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and/or coordinating efficient administration systems and processes.
  • Proven ability to effectively determine priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines in a timely and confidential manner.
Qualifications

A relevant tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience would be desirable but is not essential.
