Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptional educator with a passion for teaching Chinese language and culture to students of all ages. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.

Main Responsibilities

  • Teaching groups of students and individual students;
  • Contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of a curriculum area within the school;
  • Performing other classroom teaching-related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal;
  • Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings; staff meetings; camps and excursions;
  • Assisting with student data analysis to inform teaching approaches that enable targets related to improving student learning outcomes to be achieved.

Key Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills;
  • Demonstrated experience in responding to student learning needs;
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community to support student learning, agency, wellbeing, and engagement;
  • Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values.

Working Conditions

The role is part-time and may involve working irregular hours, including evenings and weekends. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members to achieve the school's goals and objectives.
