Centurion Transport, a leading logistics provider in Perth, Western Australia, is seeking an experienced loader and forklift operator to join its Yard operations department full-time as a Freight Officer. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the efficient handling, loading, unloading, and restraining general freight of all sizes.
The successful candidate will have previous experience using ratchet straps, chains, and binders regularly on a daily basis, contributing to the smooth running of operations and making a real impact on the business.
This permanent, full-time position comes with an attractive base rate plus allowances and penalties, with immediate start availability. Various shift times are available for the right candidate, with potential for overtime. All PPE and uniforms are provided, including steel cap boots.
Key responsibilities include operating various sized counterbalance forklifts, processing general freight from beginning to end, securing and restraining loads, and guaranteeing timely freight loading for scheduled vehicle departures.
To be considered, candidates must possess a current Forklift Licence (LF), experience with general ugly/oversize freight, expertise in load restraints, and ability to take direction from management and supervisors. Scanning experience and customer service skills are also desired.
