About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team at CSR, a leading Australian manufacturing business. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for providing support for our Gyprock factory in Control Systems, including Electrical, Engineering, PLC's, Supervisory systems, and SCADA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze plant processes and design improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Support and improve site maintenance strategies to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Coordinate and support on-site electricians to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and implement automation solutions to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Manage and plan end-of-life equipment replacements to minimize downtime.
  • Develop and implement energy-saving solutions to reduce our environmental footprint.
  • Maintain and upgrade PLC and SCADA systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Manage site electrical engineering projects and support national capital projects.
Requirements
  • Electrical qualifications or Electrical Engineering degree qualified or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in process control, automation, or related field.
  • Industry experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, or related field.
  • Ideal experience working with PLC systems (e.g. Allen Bradley).
  • Working knowledge of safety systems (e.g. AS & 1503).
  • Strong documentation writing skills.
