Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Scientist Infectious Molecular Pathologist to join our team at Healius. As a key member of our infectious diseases team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of molecular diagnostic tests for infectious diseases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement molecular diagnostic tests for infectious diseases
  • Lead a team of scientists and technicians in the development and validation of molecular diagnostic tests
  • Collaborate with clinicians and researchers to identify areas for improvement in molecular diagnostic testing
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in molecular diagnostics and apply this knowledge to improve testing protocols

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • PhD in a relevant field (e.g. molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry)
  • Extensive experience in molecular diagnostics, including PCR and sequencing
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
