We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Direct Support Worker. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with diverse needs.
The ideal candidate will be open to new experiences and passionate about working in an inclusive society. As a Direct Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing support with personal care tasks, administering medications, and engaging individuals in community activities.
You will work on a flexible 24/7 roster, providing assistance with daily living tasks such as showering, toileting, and dressing. You will also have the opportunity to administer medications, transfer individuals using hoists and slide sheets, and engage them in domestic duties like cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will be required to maintain professional boundaries and provide care with dignity and sensitivity. You will work autonomously and within a team environment, communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
