Infrastructure Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and managing the infrastructure of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement infrastructure solutions to meet business needs.
  • Provide expert technical support for project build, test, and solution deployment activities.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain documentation, including design documentation, implementation plans, test plans, and support procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies, operational policies, and procedures, as well as change initiatives.
  • Participate in change management processes and communicate end-to-end implications of configuration changes.
  • Provide detailed, specialist technical advice, including strategic advice to senior executives.
  • Share knowledge and expertise as a subject matter expert and provide aid and mentorship to less experienced colleagues.
  • Undertake research on emerging technologies and provide recommendations on product suitability.
  • Engage and partner with other agencies and service providers to build service delivery capability.
  • Attend interagency meetings and forums to influence business outcomes and share information.

Requirements:

  • At least five years of demonstrated experience in the design, management, and maintenance of internet gateway and/or large-scale data centre networking environments.
  • Demonstrated experience and technical proficiency in designing services utilising F5/Blue Coat Layer 4-7 switching/load balancing and proxy systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and deploying network infrastructure, including Cisco Data Centre technologies like Cisco ACI, Cisco Routers, Nexus switches, routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, EIGRP.
  • Demonstrated experience with Palo Alto firewalls and IPS Solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing VPN technologies, email, and DNS (Infoblox) Solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining system architecture and design documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience with or knowledge of Australian Government information security policies, the ASD Information Security Manual, and Essential Eight.
