Job Opportunity: Primary Leadership Role

The Assistant Head of Primary is a pivotal leadership position that supports the Head of Primary in the effective management of the school's daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level support to the Head of Primary in implementing strategic initiatives and maintaining alignment with the school's Strategic Plan.
  • Act as a key liaison between the Head of Primary and teaching staff to ensure seamless communication and follow-through.
  • Deputise for the Head of Primary as required in meetings, communications or events.
  • Maintain oversight of day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth logistics and timely adjustments.

Leadership of Behaviour:

  • Oversee the implementation of the behaviour curriculum, ensuring consistency across Primary.
  • Respond promptly to escalated student behaviour concerns.
  • Coordinate support for students requiring additional pastoral care or behaviour intervention.
  • Assist in managing urgent behaviour-related incidents and parent escalations.

Staff Support and Capacity Building:

  • Provide coaching, modelling and professional learning for Teachers and Learning Assistants around behaviour management and positive culture-building.
  • Support new and early-career teachers in understanding and applying behavioural expectations.
