Job Overview

We are currently seeking qualified Care Professionals to facilitate therapy and lifestyle programs for our residents at Bethanie Dalyellup Aged Care Home. This 120-bed facility offers 24-hour care for individuals with diverse needs, including dementia, palliative care, and high care requirements.

The successful candidate will have a passion for working with people of all abilities and backgrounds. They will be an enthusiastic and creative individual able to support and cultivate our residents' strengths and interests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement therapy and lifestyle programs for individual residents and groups
  • Adapt activities to resident's level of function under the guidance of a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist
  • Address physical and psychological needs and provide opportunities for meaningful engagement for residents
  • Maintain accurate documentation, both paper and computer-based
Requirements
  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a Therapy Assistant role, ideally in an aged care or other health care environment
  • Experience working with residents with dementia would be an advantage
  • Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written capacity with care recipients, families, and team members
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually
  • Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of The Bethanie Group
  • Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
  • Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to apply for one)
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is between $55,000-$65,000 per annum. You will also enjoy a range of benefits, including:
