Medical Director for General and Geriatric Services

We are seeking an experienced Medical Director to lead our team of healthcare professionals in providing exceptional patient care in the Northern Territory.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and diverse environment, where you will be responsible for managing acute general medical inpatients, including assessment, investigation, and complex discharge planning.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to Geriatric services across Acute Care of the Elderly (ACE), Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM), and Interim Care wards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide senior clinical leadership and direction to junior doctors and other healthcare professionals.
  • Manage and coordinate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient safety and quality of care.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to achieve organisational goals.
About the Role

This role offers a challenging and rewarding experience, with opportunities to develop your skills and expertise in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in General and/or Geriatric Medicine, or equivalent overseas specialist qualifications.
