Job Title: Business Support Officer

The Australian and Queensland governments have jointly committed funds for the Bruce Highway Targeted Safety Program, marking a significant investment in the highway.

This initiative aims to reduce crash severity and frequency through measures such as wide centre line treatments, audio tactile line marking, intersection upgrades, rest areas, pavement strengthening, overtaking lanes, and upgrades to narrow structures.

Project prioritisation will be guided by the Bruce Highway Advisory Council and both levels of government, with a corridor-wide fatigue management strategy informing rest area and stopping place upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive assistance to management and high-level administrative support duties.
  • Liaise with officers at all levels of the department, other government agencies, educational institutions, and organisations.
  • Coordinate and support the administrative operations of the project's leadership team.
  • Support the delivery of events and ensure operational practices comply with Departmental, Regional, and District policies.
