About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the position of Head Teacher of Horticulture. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of horticulture principles and practices.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of teaching and mentoring students, as well as experience in developing and implementing curriculum programs. They will be responsible for leading a team of educators, providing guidance and support to students, and contributing to the development of our horticulture program.

Job Description

As a Head Teacher of Horticulture, you will be responsible for leading a team of educators to deliver high-quality horticulture programs. You will develop and implement curriculum programs that meet the needs of our students and industry partners, mentor and support students to achieve their academic and career goals, and contribute to the development of our horticulture program.

Key Requirements

  • Hold a Certificate III or higher qualification in Horticulture, Landscape Construction, or Parks and Gardens
  • Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills, and vocational qualifications in the discipline and a commitment to maintain technical currency
  • Meet the selection criteria in the position description
  • Hold the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
  • Evidence of successful completion of an approved program of teacher education or an acceptable teaching qualification
