About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the position of Head Teacher of Horticulture. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of horticulture principles and practices.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of teaching and mentoring students, as well as experience in developing and implementing curriculum programs. They will be responsible for leading a team of educators, providing guidance and support to students, and contributing to the development of our horticulture program.

Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Lead and manage a team of educators to deliver high-quality horticulture programs
  • Develop and implement curriculum programs that meet the needs of our students and industry partners
  • Mentor and support students to achieve their academic and career goals
  • Contribute to the development of our horticulture program, including curriculum design and delivery
  • Hold a Certificate III or higher qualification in Horticulture, Landscape Construction, or Parks and Gardens
  • Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills, and vocational qualifications in the discipline and a commitment to maintain technical currency
  • Meet the selection criteria in the position description
  • Hold the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
  • Evidence of successful completion of an approved program of teacher education or an acceptable teaching qualification
