Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Master Outdoor Recreation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our asset delivery and management programs, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of protected area outdoor recreation visitor facilities and infrastructure management.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing technical policies, procedures, and manuals that contribute to delivering systems relevant to protected area outdoor recreation visitor facilities and infrastructure management.
  • Supporting the design of visitor facility and management infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet technical adequacy standards.
  • Reviewing drawings and specifications for technical accuracy, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including community members, Indigenous peoples, special interest groups, and industries relevant to effective asset management.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our team to:

  • Contribute to the preparation of correspondence, reports, submissions, and briefing papers.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, fostering collaboration and cooperation.
Requirements
  • Experience in design, review of drawings, and specifications for technical adequacy.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD LT, Adobe Creative Cloud & Microsoft 365 or equivalent software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, utilizing technology to enhance productivity.
