Job Title: HSEQ Leader

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team of HSEQ Advisors on infrastructure projects, including new build construction, remediation, marine construction, and utilities/services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the team of HSEQ personnel across multiple work fronts.
  • Foster a positive safety culture by supporting project leadership.
  • Analyse HSEQ performance trends, reporting, and system updates.
  • Advise and educate teams on legislative requirements.
  • Investigate incidents and critical risks.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders regarding HSEQ.
  • Drive a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Conduct and verify in-field HSEQ compliance through site inspections and audits.
  • Manage consultation and communication with the workforce on HSEQ matters.
  • Coordinate HSEQ training programs.
  • Manage the preparation and implementation of HSEQ documentation.
  • Maintain the company's established Integrated Management System on the project.
  • Create and review risk assessments.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Prior experience leading HSEQ in construction projects.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or a similar discipline.
  • A strong ability to positively influence, develop, and maintain site relationships.
  • Self-management skills to ensure project efficiency and a positive team environment.
  • Proven problem-solving capability.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage deadlines.
  • Experience in managing a team of HSEQ personnel.
  • Understanding of Quality Management processes.

Please note that a White Card and Police clearance are required due to projects being on a Defence site. You must also be able to meet country of origin and security clearance requirements.
