About the Role

This position involves providing one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve their goals and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver day-to-day support and foster personal growth for clients accessing our services.
  • Pursue duties in line with client needs and outlined in individual support plans.
  • Comply with roster schedules and travel restrictions to ensure continuity and alignment with client funding allocations.
  • Empower choice and control by supporting clients in decision-making processes and enabling them to achieve desired outcomes.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of Cert 3 in Disability or Community Services.
  • At least two years' experience working in a similar role.
  • A valid Australian driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Covid-19 Infection Control Module.
  • Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
  • Familiarity with the NDIS Code of Conduct and Quality and Safeguards.
  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality Safety and You'. 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Manual Handling training.
  • PEG feeding Certification.
  • Seizure Management Training.
  • Medication Competency.
  • Experience with Hoist operations and/or complex disability support.
  • Twelve months of working with individuals with complex disabilities.
  • Experience in Behaviour Support / Complex needs.
