Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Market Dynamics Specialist to play a key role in delivering value through real-time trading across our diverse portfolio of renewable and low-emission assets.

This is a dynamic and fast-paced role, ideal for someone who thrives in high-pressure environments and is passionate about contributing to Queensland's clean energy future.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and work within regulatory frameworks to provide analytical support for trading strategies
  • Develop effective strategies in response to change, with a thorough understanding of operational power generation assets and fuel management
  • Utilize data to inform commercial decisions, leveraging strong analytical skills
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive trading outcomes, working closely with the Market Manager and reporting through to the General Manager of Energy Markets
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Demonstrated industry experience in energy or financial market trading, with relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., Bachelor in economics, commerce, mathematical or related discipline)
  • Natural curiosity ensuring up-to-date knowledge of trends influencing the energy sector, with a track record for developing strategies in response to change
  • Strong team player, open and transparent with colleagues, and understanding the value of multiple stakeholder touchpoints
