As an Instructional Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in promoting student success and well-being at Yass High School. Our inclusive learning environment fosters high expectations, providing personalized guidance for course selection and ongoing curriculum development.
The ideal candidate will have approval to teach students with diverse learning needs at the secondary level or experience teaching such students in regular classes. They must be able to provide specialist assistance to students and teachers in regular classes with additional learning and support needs.
The selected applicant will demonstrate expertise in collaboratively planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating tailored learning plans for students with a range of learning needs. This specialized knowledge will help enhance educational outcomes and ensure students receive the necessary support to thrive.
A successful candidate will possess highly developed interpersonal, administration, communication, and organizational skills to build positive relationships with teachers, school support staff, students, and parents.
Additional responsibilities include working collaboratively with colleagues to develop and maintain effective support systems, ensuring seamless transitions between Year levels, and participating in professional development opportunities to enhance their practice.
